At Orange Homes, we prioritize customer satisfaction by delivering premium quality furniture and interior solutions. Our warranty policy ensures clarity on the scope of our warranty coverage and helps manage expectations for any claims that may arise. Please read through the warranty terms carefully to understand the conditions under which claims can be made and the exclusions that apply.

1. Warranty Coverage:

The warranty provided by Orange Homes is valid only for the original purchaser of the product and covers defects related to manufacturing. The coverage is divided into two distinct periods:

  • First Year (Comprehensive Warranty):

    • This coverage addresses major manufacturing defects such as structural failures, improper assembly, or material defects.

    • Orange Homes will offer free replacement or repair for these defects within the first year.

    • Exclusions: Cosmetic issues, normal wear and tear, scratches, minor alignment concerns, or any surface-level damage do not fall under this warranty.

  • Second Year (Service Warranty):

    • This coverage pertains to minor service-related issues, such as hinge realignment, adjustments to handles, or tightening screws.

    • Orange Homes will provide labor only for these claims, and any required materials, parts, or components will be chargeable to the customer.

    • No replacements will be made during the second year for general wear or minor claims.

2. Warranty Inclusions & Exclusions:

Orange Homes excludes certain types of damages and conditions from its warranty. The following items are not covered:

  • Environmental Damage:

    • Any damage caused by termites, boral, fungus, rusting, water, or seepage is not covered by this warranty.

  • Normal Wear and Tear:

    • The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, including:

      • Natural aging of wood, cushion softening, and fading of fabrics due to sunlight or other factors.

      • Bending of plywood, natural wearing of materials, presence of wood knots, or cracking/chipping of wood as part of its natural material properties.

  • Improper Use:

    • Damage resulting from improper use, negligence, rough handling, accidents, or inappropriate cleaning methods is excluded.

    • Products exposed to extreme temperatures, continuous moisture, or abnormal environmental conditions will not be covered.

  • Renovation Works: No Warranty by Orange Homes, only 3rd Party products can be directly to respective companies. Claims or service requests related to any of these renovation works will not be entertained. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:

    • Plumbing Works: No warranty on pipe fittings, drainage systems, or water supply installations.

    • Civil Structures: No warranty on construction of walls, ceilings, partitions, or structural work.

    • MS Fabrication Works: No warranty on mild steel fabrications such as gates, windows, Shades or metal frames.

    • Seepages: No warranty on waterproofing, damp proofing, or any water-related issues, including seepages.

    • Flooring and Wall Tiles: No warranty on tiling work, whether for floors, walls, or any form of stone cladding.

    • Door Frames: No warranty on the installation, alignment, or condition of door frames and associated fittings.

    • Plastering: No warranty on plastering work, including cracks, bubbling, or surface deterioration.

    • RCC and PCC: No warranty on Reinforced Cement Concrete (RCC) or Plain Cement Concrete (PCC) works.

    • Stone Works: No warranty on stone-based flooring, countertops, or cladding, including marble, granite, or other stones.

  • Third-Party Products:

    • Items such as hardware, laminates, appliances, and electrical or plumbing fixtures that were not manufactured by Orange Homes will be subject to the manufacturer’s warranty, and Orange Homes will not cover them.

Specific Warranty Inclusions and Exclusions for Interior Items:

A. Modular Furniture & Wardrobes:

Inclusions:

  • Structural integrity of the cabinets or frames.

  • Major defects in hinges, channels, and fitting systems under normal use.

  • Assembly or installation errors that affect the furniture’s function.

Exclusions:

  • Cosmetic Damage: Scratches, dents, or discoloration due to usage.

  • Environmental Damage: Termite damage, moisture exposure, rust, or fungus.

  • Normal Wear & Tear: Gradual wear and tear such as bending of plywood, cracking or chipping of wood, softening of hinges, or laminate peeling due to aging.

  • Improper Use: Overloading shelves, continuous exposure to water, or incorrect cleaning methods.

  • Third-Party Products: Any electrical components, laminates, or hardware not manufactured by Orange Homes.

B. Loose Furniture (Sofas, Beds, Tables, Chairs):

Inclusions:

  • Structural defects, including broken frames, under normal household use.

  • Major cushion flattening or stitching defects that appear within the first year.

Exclusions:

  • Natural Cushion Softening: Gradual softening of cushions over time is considered normal wear and tear.

  • Fabric Fading or Stains: Fabric fading due to exposure to sunlight or improper cleaning methods.

  • Wood Defects: Bending of plywood, natural knots, cracking or chipping of wood due to the natural aging process.

  • Environmental Damage: Any damage due to termite, moisture, or exposure to extreme conditions.

  • Improper Use: Rough handling, jumping on furniture, or using it beyond its intended capacity.

C. Kitchens (Modular & Custom-Built):

Inclusions:

  • Structural integrity of the cabinets, drawers, and countertops.

  • Defects in hinges, channels, or drawer systems under normal household use.

  • Errors in installation affecting functionality.

Exclusions:

  • Surface Damage: Scratches, burns, or stains on countertops, laminate finishes, or surfaces due to everyday use.

  • Wear & Tear: Normal wear such as bending of shelves, wear of hinges, or discoloration of materials.

  • Improper Use: Damage caused by overloading, exposure to moisture, or using the kitchen for unintended purposes.

  • Appliances and Hardware: Any defects related to appliances or third-party fixtures such as sinks, faucets, or lights are covered by their respective manufacturers.

D. Soft Furnishings (Curtains, Cushions, Rugs):

Inclusions:

  • Manufacturing defects in stitching, hemming, or seams that affect the functionality or appearance of the product.

Exclusions:

  • Fabric Fading: Exposure to sunlight or improper washing leading to fading or material degradation.

  • Wear & Tear: Cushion flattening, thread pulling, or softening of materials due to regular use.

  • Improper Use: Rough handling, exposure to moisture, or washing under incorrect conditions.

E. Lighting & Electrical Fixtures:

Inclusions:

  • Installation-related issues that affect the functioning of the fixtures.

  • Major electrical issues caused by faulty installation.

Exclusions:

  • Third-Party Fixtures: Lighting products not manufactured by Orange Homes are subject to their own warranty from the respective manufacturer.

  • Environmental Damage: Water or moisture-induced damage or any short-circuiting caused by external factors.

  • Improper Use: Overloading circuits, mishandling, or using fixtures beyond their intended capacity.

F. Custom Carpentry Work:

Inclusions:

  • Structural defects, including improper joins or assembly affecting the functionality of the carpentry work.

Exclusions:

  • Natural Wood Wear: Natural occurrences like bending of wood, wood knots, cracking, chipping, or expansion/contraction due to humidity are not covered.

  • Cosmetic Damage: Scratches, stains, or surface damage due to improper handling or external factors.

  • Improper Use: Rough handling or misuse beyond intended use.

G. Wall Treatments & Paints:

Inclusions:

  • Defects such as improper paint application or significant peeling within the first year.

  • Installation errors in wallpaper or other wall coverings.

Exclusions:

  • Environmental Damage: Damage caused by moisture, seepage, or exposure to extreme conditions.

  • Natural Wear: Fading, discoloration, or minor peeling due to natural aging or environmental factors.

  • Improper Use: Damage caused by improper cleaning or maintenance methods, as well as external impacts or vandalism.

3. Warranty Process & Terms:

The following terms govern the process of filing and resolving warranty claims:

  • No Fresh Warranty Start:

    • After a claim has been settled (whether repair or replacement), the original warranty period will not be extended or restarted. The warranty timeline will remain in effect as per the original purchase date.

  • Inspection Before Replacement:

    • Orange Homes will provide replacements only after an inspection has been conducted and the defect has been verified by an authorized representative.

  • No Alternative Accommodation:

    • Orange Homes is not responsible for providing temporary accommodation during the repair process. Customers must make their own arrangements if repairs require them to vacate the premises.

4. No Chain of Claims:

Once a claim is resolved, any subsequent damage or issues resulting from the original defect will not be covered. Further claims for new issues arising from a resolved defect will not be considered unless they meet the original warranty terms and fall within the warranty period.

5. Service Terms:

Customers are required to adhere to the following terms when requesting service:

  • Timeframe for Service Requests:

    • All service requests must be made within the active warranty period. Any delays or failures to notify Orange Homes in a timely manner may result in the warranty becoming void.

  • No Extension of Warranty Post-Repair:

    • The warranty period remains unchanged after any repairs are made. Repair or replacement work does not renew the original warranty period.

  • Customer Responsibilities:

    • Customers must notify Orange Homes of any defect within 10 days of detection. Failure to do so may void the warranty.

    • Unauthorized repairs, modifications, or tampering with the product will also void the warranty.

6. Additional Terms:

  • Natural Factors Beyond Control:

    • The warranty does not cover defects or damage arising from natural disasters such as earthquakes, cyclones, or other calamities, as well as vandalism or abuse by the customer.

  • Repair Timeline:

    • Orange Homes will use its best efforts to complete any repairs as soon as possible, but assumes no liability for delays in the repair process due to external circumstances.

  • Authority Over Repairs:

    • Orange Homes retains full discretion over the repair process. This includes:

      • Monitoring and approving all repairs to ensure they comply with the company’s standards.

      • The right to appoint its own contractor or approve a contractor appointed by the customer.

  • Confidentiality Clause:

    • Both the customer and Orange Homes agree to keep all matters related to disputes, claims, and repairs confidential.

7. Customer Responsibilities:

Customers are required to assist with the repair process by providing:

  • Basic Necessities:

    • Customers must provide tools or essentials such as stools, ladders, buckets, water, cleaning materials, and electricity as needed by the service providers during the repair work.

  • Notification Requirement:

    • Any defect must be reported within 10 days of detection. Failure to notify Orange Homes within this period may result in the voiding of the warranty.

8. Customization Disclaimer:

For any items or materials that are customized in design, material, or manufacturing process based on the specific requests or preferences of the customer, no warranty of any kind will be provided by Orange Homes. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Custom Design Choices: Any deviations from standard designs, shapes, or sizes requested by the customer.

  • Customer-Specified Materials: Any materials chosen by the customer that are not part of Orange Homes' standard offerings.

  • Non-Standard Processes: Any non-standard construction, assembly, or finishing processes requested by the customer.

By opting for customizations, the customer assumes full responsibility for the performance, durability, and overall quality of the product, and Orange Homes shall bear no liability for any defects, issues, or dissatisfaction arising from such customizations. No claims, repairs, or replacements will be entertained for such items under any circumstances.

9. Legal & General Conditions:

  • No Additional Warranties:

    • There are no additional warranties, either expressed or implied, beyond those outlined in this document.

  • Jurisdiction & Dispute Resolution:

    • Any legal disputes will be handled under the jurisdiction of the Bhopal courts. Neither party may initiate legal action before completing the full evaluation and resolution process.

  • Repair Product Availability:

    • If a product style or component becomes obsolete or discontinued, Orange Homes will offer a similar replacement based on the company’s current product offerings at the time of the claim.
